Nissan Altima
A capable sedan that has a decent list of options and a spacious, comfortable cabin – this pretty much describes the Altima. The choices for the engine are a 182-hp 2.5L inline-four or a 270-hp 3.5L V-6, but both have a CVT. A little fun is infused by the SR through the addition of unique wheels, paddle shifters, and stiffer suspension tuning. A strong active-safety bundle is created by its forward emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. The Altima also includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, advanced safety features which cost extra or aren’t even available in a number of rival mid-size sedans.

BMW 5 Series E39
Produced between the years 1995 and 2004, the BMW 5 Series sedan’s E39 generation has not really aged well, but used to be one of the great German engineering examples. On the used cars market, it’s not unusual to find an E39 that has passed the 250,000 mile mark, and a well-maintained one can cover even much more. The inline six engines from BMW are known for their reliability and decent performance. The E39 5 Series isn’t an exception.
