For a big part of their childhoods, Nathan and Alexis needed walkers to move around. But Nathan didn’t want to settle for that kind of mobility, so he started to push himself. Every day he tried more and more to walk without an aid. “I taught myself how to walk because I really wanted to learn. It’s just been getting better and better.”

Alexis unfortunately suffers to a slightly worse degree than her brother. But despite this, she excels greatly. In 2013, Alexis made her mark when she won the “Teen Miss Dreams Made True” award. And back at school she was making waves when she finished in the top 15% of her class.
