Who could forget the 70’s? Flower power, political unrest, technological advances, and some of the most cringe-worthy fashion (which seems to be making a comeback). But what about the decade’s celebrities? Whether they’ve remained in Hollywood or switched to equally glamorous careers, these stars are still near and dear to our hearts.
Linda Ronstadt
Before she became known as the “First Lady of Rock,” singer Linda Ronstadt started off by performing at the Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood. The “Queen of Rock” would go on to win ten Grammy’s and have over thirty of her albums go gold or platinum. Tragically, Ronstadt’s career came to an end in 2012, after she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The following year she released a memoir, Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir, detailing her time in the limelight.
Goldie Hawn
Goldie Hawn got her big break while on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In. From there, she leapfrogged into various comedic roles, starring in films such as Butterflies are Free and There’s a Girl in My Soup. Major hits like Overboard, The First Wives Club, and Death Becomes Her firmly solidified her career. Hawn was reportedly a fan of the Overboard remake according to its star, Anna Faris. After taking a brief break from Hollywood, Hawn returned to the big screen in 2017, starring alongside Amy Schumer in Snatched.
