If you have a pair of scissors that barely cut any more or are rusty, just cut into a piece of aluminum foil 7-10 times to sharpen and clean them.

Make Your Batteries Last
If your batteries are dead and you have no replacements, you can use little balls of aluminum foil to get them to work. Just place them on the end of the batteries in an alternating pattern, as shown in the image.
