Crocodile Dundee

When Crocodile Dundee came out in 1986, it became a box office hit. Unsurprisingly, they made Crocodile Dundee into a very successful franchise. Perhaps, the success had to do with the amazing actress Linda Kozlowski who played Sue Charlton, or maybe it was Paul Hogan as the Australian crocodile hunter! Either way, the three films have become classics that we will not be forgetting for a long time. Now, that it’s been more than three decades, we thought we would take a look back at our favorite stars. Let’s see where their lives have taken them since the film!

An American reporter is completely taken by the legendary, Crocodile Dundee. In fact she’s so intrigued by the unique character that she decides to bring him back with her to the great United States of America. Are you following? Or do you remember this from back in the day? If you do, then go ahead and start checking out the characters that you probably haven’t thought about in at least a decade. Anyway, where were we? Ah, right, Crocodile Dundee. He’s completely taken aback by what he sees in the Big Apple; New York City is not anything like he could have ever imagined.

While the first Crocodile Dundee was in production, many weren’t sure if the film would be a success. The movie was given a low budget, and it aimed with caution at an American audience. But the box office seemed to dispel those fears and everyone felt quite relieved thereafter. The success of the first movie brought about the inspiration to create another one and then another one after that. For the true fans of the Dundee series, there was always the hope that the movie series would just continue going and going. But it wasn’t just in America that the movie was making the big time.

Some people don’t know that Paul Hogan actually earned himself a Golden Globe award under the title, “Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy”. We shouldn’t be surprised seeing as his performance was a sterling one.

Brian Turk

Brian Turk only had a small role in the third film as the driver. After this part, he did continue to act. Now, he’s recognized as Gabriel from the film Carnivàle (2003) or even from his role as Backstage Bull in the film A.I. Artificial Intelligence.

Linda Kozlowski

Now, we couldn’t have a Crocodile Dundee cast list without the amazing Linda Kozlowski. Of course, most know Linda simply as Sue Charlton from the franchise. In fact, her and Paul Hogan had amazing chemistry on and off set, that the two ended up dating and marrying. Hogan even left his former wife for Linda. Together, they had a son and stayed married for more than a decade, but then separated. Now, Kozlowski is retired and sadly, her final role in Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles was not very well received.
