The famous golfer was born on the 26th of March 1993 to a family of Croatian descent on. She was actually born in Wheat Ridge, but she in fact raised in another Colorado town called Monument.

In Monument, as a little Paige Spiranac trained as a gymnast. During those days, she had big dreams of becoming an Olympic athlete. She bypassed level 6 and got invited to go to the famous Karolyi Ranch.

At 12 years old, her dreams of becoming an Olympic gymnast were crushed when she experienced a twice-broken kneecap. That surely was not easy for her, especially when she was forced to shift her mainframe after training so much.

Along with that came a few other components that played into her decision. Unfortunately, Paige was the victim of bullying while she was still undergoing gymnastics training. This is genuinely a sad reality that happens way too often.

Before she became a teen, Paige decided to turn to golf instead. Due to her previous experience with other gymnasts, she felt comfort in the seclusion of this new sport. But we’re certainly glad it worked out for her!

Back then the lassie had been dividing her time between two places: Monument, Colorado, and Scottsdale, Arizona. Besides this, she was homeschooled due to her busy schedule – this allowed er more time to train.

During the initial days of her career, Paige Spiranac won 5 tournaments in 7 tries on the junior golf circuit in Colorado. This included the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association Junior Stroke Playback in 2010.

We already mentioned that she played for San Diego State University, but she also went to another school for some time too. Her outstanding junior resume earned her a scholarship from the University of Arizona!

In her freshman year, Paige only participated in 3 events for the Arizona Wildcats during the 2011-2012 season. In that year, her best score was 73, which she just so happened to reach twice during the Windy City Intercollegiate.

She decided to relocate to San Diego State University for her sophomore year. She did so because she wanted a change of environment. This was proven to clearly be a very good choice for…you’ll soon see why.

More Success

Throughout the 2012-2013 season, Paige saw a boost in success. She got First-Team All-Mountain West honors, fifth-place honors at the Cal Classic, sixth-place honors at the Mountain West Championship, and a nineteenth finish at the NCAA Central Regional Championships.

Let’s take a look at how well she did during the course of her junior year. As expected it was another great year for the talented golfer! During the 2013–2014 season, she obtained Second-Team All-Mountain West Honors.

The Colorado Golf Association held the 100th Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship in July 2015. It occurred at Raccoon Creek Golf Course. But how did it work out for Paige during the competition? Let us find out.

While in a 35-hole title match against the University of Colorado Boulder’s Brittany Fan, Paige Spiranac managed to finish 9 holes under par. She was then able to obtain another victory. Good job, Paige!

Once, Paige was at a golf tournament in Dubai when things were a bit chaotic. The social media icon took a sneak peek at her phone during swings and she was seen by the judges. They immediately docked her score by a few points, this was sadly the reason she didn’t qualify for the next round.

A couple of years ago, Paige received phone calls and text messages from anonymous numbers knocking her down because of the outfits she wears. They supposedly told her to kill herself because of her “tight, cleavage-baring outfits.” Paige said, “I was harassed, my family was embarrassed.”

Paige derives from a family of athletes, so its no wonder she inherited these good genes. Her dad was a football player at the University of Pittsburgh where he won an NCAA championship. Her mom was also very sporty- a professional ballerina! Her older sister Lexie was a sprinter at Stanford University. They’re quite the athletic bunch!
