Due to the popularity of the TV show, Pierce had the opportunity to meet his father again. He approached Pierce and they met in a hotel in Ireland. His father apologized for his actions. They enjoyed a day together then parted ways.

Pierce gained experience in acting as a spy in the movie The Fourth Protocol which debuted in 1987. He played a KGB officer who was sent on a mission to the UK to set up an accidental nuclear disaster.
