According to his contract, Selleck was not supposed to work on anything else while shooting for Magnum, P.I. is ongoing. He was unable to accept several job offers because of this condition! We sure that the part of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of his biggest regrets. He had to turn it down due to his schedule, but he could have worked on it had he known that production would be delayed!
