Dick Carlson
Tucker Carlson’s father is 77-year-old Dick Carlson. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Seychelles from 1991 to 1992. But he is probably best known for his work as a journalist and the director of the Voice of America, which ran for the last 6 years of the Cold War.

Telling The Truth
After the false accusation of raping a woman, Carlson took to the air to express his feelings and views. One of the points he wanted to drive home was that not every single person who is accused of a crime is guilty, and not every accuser is telling the truth. “I learned this the hard way a number of years ago when I was accused of felony rape by a woman I literally had never seen.”
