Pilots Do A Lot More Than Just Navigating
Pilots do not just navigate. Some of their duties include handling emergencies and troublesome passengers, leading the crew and commanding decisions. However, they cannot arrest people during the flight. What they can do, is contact authorities to make the arrest once the plane lands. They are also able to give orders to handcuff someone or put them in restraints during a flight if they’re determined to be a danger to the safety of the flight. Fun fact, they’re also able to take a dying passenger’s last will! Alright, our next one could potentially change the way you travel!
How Thoroughly Are Planes Cleaned?
Honestly, you might not want to know the answer. Of course, you may have witnessed a turnover crew emptying trash bags and maybe even vacuuming, but that still leaves the armrests, windows and tray tables. Let’s just say you might want to bring disinfectant wipes next flight. Since the turnover happens so fast between flights, the planes do NOT get a deep cleanse. Unfortunately, the FAA does not regulate the thoroughness or frequency a plane should be cleaned. Thus, airlines determine their own guidelines.
