Few bands have influenced the world as much as Swedish pop sensation ABBA, with hits like “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo” entertaining listeners for decades. Agnetha Faltskog, who lends her initial to the band’s name, got her big break with the band, which unfortunately disbanded in the 80’s. However, after more than thirty-five years, ABBA released new music. Faltskog also enjoyed a short solo career, and in 2016 she penned an autobiography.

Carly Simon

Carly Simon released her first album in 1971, which included the hit single “That’s the Way I’ve Always Hard it Should Be.” It was so successful, she released her next album a few months later. However, it wasn’t until 1972, when Simon released her hit “You’re so Vain” that she experienced true stardom. Simon still performs, recently touring with Taylor Swift, and in 2015 she wrote a memoir, which detailed her childhood and failed marriage to singer James Taylor.
