Billie Jean King

In 1973, the now-famous “Battle of the Sexes” pitted tennis legends Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King against each other. After her momentous win, King shot to fame and fortune. In 1981, she became the first female athlete to come out publicly. Six years later, in 1987, she would divorce Larry King and be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. She now lives with her former doubles partner, Ilana Kloss, in New York City. Emma Stone will play King in an upcoming film about the famous tennis match.
