Reporting On The Field
Anderson stated, “I’ve always loved reporting from the field most of all. There’s something about doing live TV and being there as it happens that’s always appealed to me. I think there’s great value to bearing witness to these events as they’re actually happening.”
A Reporter, And An Activist
Anderson’s work never stops with his reporting, he is a true activist. He covered war-town areas with many victims to try to bring awareness to the issue and help people in need. He often personally confronted government leaders to demand more action where it was needed. For example, he confronted Senators Mary Landrieu and Trent Scott about the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina. Anderson stated it was impossible for him to not have a response to seeing so many people suffering.
