Rachel Maddow’s pre-civil war farmhouse was bought by her for $605,000 in 2013. The house was built in 1869 and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom while sitting on an 11.86-acre lot. The main house has special touches like a fireplace along with an attached garage. After buying the house, Rachel teamed up with architect Nicole Migeon to build a separate bathhouse at the back of the property. They put in a hot tub and a second bathroom along with an entertainment system. While this could have been done to the main house, they didn’t want to change the house’s original structure.
