Certified Diamond
Starting in 1999, the Record Industry Association of American began to award albums that sold over 10 million copies “diamond status.” Celine Dion is one of the few popular musicians to achieve this. She has not one, but two albums that have the certified diamond status. They are “Falling Into You,” which was released in 1996 and “Let’s Talk About Love,” which was released in 1997.

Starting in 1991, record executives began to track album sales using the Nielson Soundscan System. According to its data, Celine Dion is one of the best selling female artists in the USA and Canada. Only Rihanna and Mariah Carey have outsold her. Pretty impressive!
