Upgrading Her Image
As Celine’s fame grew, she grew up and her style changed. She and her manager decided to give her look a bit of an upgrade. Celine felt her teeth were unattractive, and tabloid magazines gave her the mean nickname “Canine Dion.” In the mid-80s she went through a number of dental procedures to improve her smile.

Mid Career Misses
As we mentioned, Celine took a three-year break from the music industry. When she returned she decided to release a new album in 2002 entitled, “A New Day Has Come.” Much of the album discusses her experience as a new mom.
