Celine received the highest honor Quebec can offer, The National Order of Quebec. She has stars on the Hollywood and Canadian Walks of Fame, and even was given an honorary doctorate from Laval University! How cool! She stated it was, “a very great honor for a little girl from Charlemagne.” She dedicated the award to Rene.

When Celine was only two years old, famous French musician Hugues Aufray released a song entitled “Céline.” When Celine was only 5 she performed this song at her brother’s wedding. This is now regarded as her breakthrough moment that started her career. Celine’s entire family are actually musicians, but after this performance, it was clear she had a little extra talent.
