However, they fell out after they both entered a 2004 bidding war for the Maison de l’Amitie, also known as the House of Friendship, in Palm Beach. In the end, Trump won the competition. It was said that Epstein was so upset about it that they stopped speaking. Four years after that, a Russian businessperson called Dmitry Rybolovlev bought it from Trump.
