Most known for his singing, Harry Belafonte is also famous for his serious activism. These days he put his singing career behind him, but he still remains active in politics. Besides for singing, he also acted for a while and starred in films like Bright Road and Carmen Jones. With his singing he branches out to several genres with his albums, recording gospel music, blues, folk, and show tunes. These albums won him three Grammy Awards.
