When he was a high school junior, Elvis did not blend into the background thanks to his rather mature appearance. He had sideburns and used Vaseline and rose oil to style his hair. Many people believe that his distinctive appearance gave him a leg-up when he was on his way to becoming a star. His look was not at all the norm in those days. Aside from this, his teenage self preferred to spend any free time he had on checking out the blues scene on Beale Street in Memphis.

Elvis had a reputation for liking ‘pure’ girls, which is one of the reasons he fell for Priscilla. Apparently, they only ever went to bed together on their wedding night. It therefore makes sense that Lisa Marie was born nine months after this. It was rather ironic that he no longer found his wife attractive after she gave birth to their daughter. Apparently, he was so turned off by the fact that she was a mother that he developed a wandering eye.
