Nancy Kerrigan
The former figure skater earned bronze at the 1992 Winter Olympics and silver medal at the World Championships of the same year. She went on to emerge as the U.S National Champion in 1993. The source of her celebrity status is quite bizarre as she was thrust into the limelight following an attack by the ex-husband of her rival Tonya Harding. Astoundingly, Kerrigan recovered and went on to win silver at the 1994 Winter Olympics. She also contested in season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.
