Another quirky part to Amish weddings, is that ‘friends of the couple will witness some or all of the ceremony and will likely be asked to serve’. Instead of hiring pricey caterers like most of us their friends will have to serve ‘at least three meals throughout the day- 12:00, 5:00 and 7:00’. Well personally we prefer to eat and dance at weddings rather than serve, but Jonna found some solace in the fact that there are white tents ‘where all of the servers are drinking booze to kill time. This part is actually a lot of fun’. Ok so you’d find us in there too!
