He quickly noticed when Thomas got closer to the tree that something was not quite right about it. In front of where Kyle was sitting, a big part was a bit broken and caved in. It looked like it might have been pushed in.

A Surprising Discovery
Thomas looked around if he could get help, but who was he kidding? They were deep in the woods, with no chance that anyone would pass by. He summoned courage and pushed in the broken part of the tree; he did not miss how Kyle began to growl a little and take a defensive stand. He noticed when Thomas pushed further, there was a lot of room inside the tree. He squealed and jumped back and nearly tripped over Kyle when he discovered what had been buried in the tree.
