Can you imagine the Sam Ratulangi drifting along the water before it finally made its way to the shore after nine years? Even when the investigation is over, it will be hard to say anything definitive about what happened to it. There is a good chance its parts will be sold. Hey, maybe it will make it all the way to those Bangladeshi shipbreakers. However, we are keeping our fingers crossed that they will find someone who could fix it and bring it back to its former glory.

The Legendary Ghost Ship

Even though Sam Ratulangi became the talk of the town, it is definitely not the most popular ghost ship. The title belongs to none other than the Flying Dutchman. According to legend, the cursed ship cannot dock anywhere so the sailors have to be at sea forever. The story dates all the way back to 1790 at the very least and there have been sightings in modern times. Some people believe that these sightings are the results of a mirage, though we prefer to think that it is still out there somewhere.
