Possible Functionality
They did not find any crew member or cargo inside the Sam Ratulangi. However, this did not necessarily mean it is no longer functional. Nonetheless, the cargo ship did not display any signs that it is still capable of traveling at its current state. They estimated that it will take a lot of effort and resources to carry it away from the river. It has an estimated weight of about 26,500 tons. If bad weather would strike while it was being hauled off, there was a good chance it would break free again.

Social Media Response
The appearance of the ghost ship along the Myanmar coast piqued the interest of the general public. There was a social media profile that popped up under the name “Myanmar NAVY”. It posted photos of the cargo ship and hundreds of people shared the story online. After all, you don’t find a ghost ship in town every single day! We can totally see why it went viral on social media. There was only one way it could have generated more interest and that is if there were actual ghosts onboard.
