Before being used as part of the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Cross, the diamond was first presented to Mary of Teck in 1910. The diamond is seen rarely outside of the crown jewels. The Cullinan Diamond was tough to cut and split. There were nine stunning stones in the original diamond that collectively added a fortune to the Queen’s wealth.
