In some cases, servicemen would deliver the news but Peggy was one of many that never received information about her Billie. No one had come knocking on Peggy’s door, no telegram had been received and after 70 years she was left with no update. Peggy was devoted to Billie and as far as she was concerned she would remain married to him for the rest of her life.
