In the episode “One False Move, Zimbabwe” Mimi Rogers plays Robin Schmidt, Walden’s mother. As a result, she arrives at Christmas to spend the holidays with her son and Alan. She tells Walden that a gorilla is his brother. This brings back old childhood memories for Walden and Robin arranges a meeting with Walden and his brother the gorilla. Alan is visibly irritated by all of this and probably feels “normal” for the first time.

She was previously married to Jim Rogers. She has been married to producer Chris Ciaffa since 1995 and since 2003. Like her father, Mimi Rogers was a member of Scientology and introduced Tom Cruise to the sect. In 1990 she left Scientology.
