Richard Moves On
We are sure that it was very difficult for Richard to lose his sister and his bandmate. However, he had no choice but to move on. He married his adopted first cousin and together they welcomed five children into the world. They paid tribute to Karen by naming a child after her and giving her favorite name, Kristi Lynn, to another daughter.

A Living Legacy
The Carpenter family also honored Karen by setting up the “Carpenter Memorial Foundation”. The organization raises funds to support research on anorexia nervosa and eating disorders in general. There have been many changes made ever since its inception and it is now called the “Carpenter Family Foundation”. Not to mention the fact that they also fund education, entertainment, and arts projects these days as well.
