The media focused on Gisele’s reaction, but there was actually another woman who was also having a hard time, and that was Bridget. According to the actress, she burst into tears after she gave birth because although she was very happy to be a mom, she had automatically become a single mother. She was really anxious about raising her child as a single mom since she had no idea what it was going to be like. She felt that she needed help from a life partner to raise her son traditionally, but she was aware that the right man for her was not Tom and that he had moved on.

The media kept talking about a comment that Gisele made about Jack, Tom and Bridget’s son. Gisele told Vanity Fair, “I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me, it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child.” When that got out, Gisele got criticized by people who said that as a stepmother, she was over-stepping boundaries. Based on that comment, people started to make speculations about Bridget not being a fan of Gisele and about tensions which could tear the family apart.
