Chris Matthews started out as a print journalist, holding this position for 15 years. He worked as the San Francisco Chronicle’s columnist, and as the San Francisco Examiner‘s Washington, D.C. bureau chief. In 1997, Chris got his own weeknight talk show on MSNBC called Hardball with Chris Matthews. He also had The Chris Matthews Show from 2002, but decided to leave the show in 2013 to focus on Hardball.
