20-Year-Old Norwegian Woman Who Identifies As a Cat
A woman who goes by Nano says she has been a cat her entire life. She said in an interview, “I realized I was a cat when I was 16 when doctors and psychologists found out what was ‘the thing’ with me. Under my birth, there was a genetic defect.” She explained she was simply born the “wrong species” and is now living her best life. She hisses at dogs, meows, and hates water. She also likes to walk on windowsills. She says, “My psychologist told me I can grow out of it, but I doubt it…I think I will be cat all my life.”
PhD Student Identifies As A Hippopotamus
A PhD student at the University of Arizona is causing a media frenzy because he identifies as a hippopotamus and recently published an academic paper about the plethora of identities that exist. In the paper’s abstract, he states, “This article explores the formation of a tranimal hippopotamus alter-ego.” The paper continues to explain how only by confronting transgender with transspecies can one truly escape and self-actualize.
