After she posted the video, the clip soon went viral and was a hotbed of discussion. Alicia’s Take On Milk Sharing
In 2013, Alicia was thrust into the spotlight once again. This time it was for her controversial views on Milk Sharing. Alicia focused her energies into the ‘Kind Mama Milk Share’, which was a forum which allowed moms to provide breast milk to other moms having trouble breast feeding naturally. At the time, she wrote: “because we are a community of beautiful souls who recognize the importance of food as health, I say we help support those mamas and babies who need a hand during one of the most important times in their lives. If you have milk to share – post it! If you are in need of milk – post it! Think of all the babies we can help raise together!” Whilst Silverstone was a stanch advocate of milk sharing, had her outspoken opinions began to become too extreme?
