Outside of the U.S., the Toyota Land Cruiser is considered to be an off-road vehicle that is among the best one can buy. It is built like a tank, has an outstanding AWD system, and comes with an engine that is almost immortal, especially the 4.2 litre diesel unit. For many Australians, this is their vehicle of choice. They drive it when they go into the bush or in various UN missions all over the world.

Even if it is already a favorite when it comes to hybrids, the Toyota Prius still gets a good mark regarding reliability. By now, there have been numerous times that the hybrid engine has proven its worth. It certainly makes the Prius nearly as good as a Camry, except for one slight problem. Even before the engine begins to fail, the battery pack will have to be replaced several times. Since it still costs a lot to buy battery packs, it somehow nullifies the engine’s reliability. Despite having said that, the Prius still deserves to be mentioned.
