The canal starts at Bassin de l’Arsenal by the Seine and travels below La Bastille. The latter is the site of a prison destroyed at the height of the French Revolution. It then emerges near the Place de la République before going up north to the Bassin de la Villette. Over there, it joins the Canal de l’Ourq.

What was the object that you found most intriguing? In case you need a reminder, they found chairs, shopping carts, suitcases, trash cans, toilets, bicycles, and motorcycles at the bottom.
