In 1988, he launched the Donald J. Trump Foundation. In the beginning, he planned to use it to give away the proceeds of The Art of the Deal, his famous book. Trump shared this photo and wrote this in the caption: “Here with my father Fred, back in 1980. My hero, role model, and best friend. #TBT.”
Wollman Rink Renovation

Approved in June 1986, the renovations were completed by December. Trump was able to leave his mark on such a huge attraction. He literally added his logo on the rink railing! He donated part of the profits to public works and charity.
