First-Born Son
Below, you can see Donald Trump with Donald Jr. in 1977. Aside from his firstborn son, he and Ivana had two more kids between them: Ivanka and Eric, born in 1981 and 1984 respectively. Trump had been happily married and expanding the family when something tragic happened. His brother Fred Jr. died in 1981 after struggling with alcoholism. This tragedy had a huge impact on him, and Donald even quit drinking and smoking completely afterward.
Team Owner
In 1983, Donald Trump purchased a team in the United States Football League called the New Jersey Generals. In that year, he lured the talented and famous Herschel Walker to this league. In 1985, he was able to recruit Doug Flutie, who was a QB for Boston College. Prior to the 1986 season, however, the USFL decided to fold after it lost an antitrust case against the National Football League. On top of that, Trump made the wrong move by moving the schedule of the league from spring/summer to fall/winter.
