Killing Eve

The award-winning cat-and-mouse thriller starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Fleabag, will end with its fourth season. The exact release date has yet to be determined, but filming is set to begin in June of this year, with the final season set to premiere in 2022. Killing Eve has consistently received high ratings and award nominations, unlike many of the other shows on this list. According to reports, BBC America is working on spinoffs centered on the series’ supporting characters, so the Killing Eve universe will continue to expand.

Black-ish

The comedy series Black-ish, starring Tracy Ellis Ross and set in the upper-middle-class African-American Johnson family, has been renewed for its eighth and final season, which will premiere in May 2021. Although some speculate that the show’s low ratings in the seventh season contributed to its cancellation, Kenya Barris, the show’s creator, says the ABC sitcom’s cancellation was a creative decision. Barris announced the news on Instagram, writing, “In this day and age it is rare to get to decide when your show should come to an end, and we are grateful along with ABC to be able to make this final season exactly what we’d hoped for.”
