Jonna recounts in her blog other times that Daniel struggled to get to grips with the modern world. She recalls how ‘I’ll never forget the time he attempted to warm up some cheese for a soft pretzel…by filling the sink up with hot water.’ Naturally Jonna found it hilarious and ‘tried for as long as I could to keep my mouth shut, but failed.’ Perhaps their differences brought them closer as she said ‘Inside I was dying of laughter but I also kinda felt sorry for him’ and finally blurted out “David, you have a microwave. Welcome to the 21st century.”

Opposites Attract
So, while these two came from totally different backgrounds and worlds, in this case, “opposites attract” couldn’t be more right on! Jonna stated, “He’s calm, I’m a psycho. He knows how to drive a buggy, they let me drive a pony cart once and I almost crashed into a tree. He asks me how to get on Google, I get on the internet and run my mouth every day. I love my in-laws, I love my husband and dammit I may not be Amish but I’ve had it in me.”
