In October 2017, Greg Thill told ABC News “We said, ‘If you’re that serious we have to set some ground rules. We told him he had to have the financial responsibility of it, raise the money and choose the materials and stay in the budget.”

Ultimately Greg wanted Luke to learn a lot all on his own, but of course he was there to work alongside Luke in order to guide him. Dealing with grown-ups, making crucial financial decisions, wiring the home, not wavering from the budget and framing the structure were all things Greg assisted with.
