Strong Instincts At A Young Age
Speaking to The Telegraph, Sylvie recalled that when Tippi was young, making sure that monkeys didn’t steal her bottle was part of her daily life. Sylvie also remembers a very young Tippi calling her mom over on many occasions to “point to an elephant eating from a palm tree and say ‘mummy, be quiet, we’re going to frighten him.” At a very young age, not many children would have strong instincts when it comes to wild animals.

Her parents observed that Tippi was fearless even from a young age. She managed to integrate herself into these enormous, wild animals’ lives. “She was in the mindset of these animals. She believed the animals were her size and her friends. She was using her imagination to live in these different conditions,” Sylvie said. Those “ferocious beasts” became Tippi’s best friends.
