As what her mother said, Tippi spent her infancy worrying whether her bottle would be taken away from her by a wild animal. This was possible since she was already running around the jungle at a really young age. According to a report in the People, at ten months old, Tippi was already up and walking around. At that age, most babies still crawl on all fours.

On Her Guard Constantly
It is clear that Tippi didn’t have a regular upbringing and the danger she was exposed to was much more serious compared to what most children face. Many children need to look both ways prior to crossing the street, while Tippi had to be constantly on guard, looking out for ferocious beasts. At a really early age, she was taught and learned survival techniques. The story behind this photo may not have been heavily reported, but we believe her parents (just like other parents) did not allow her to play with knives.
