Billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is the founder of the chemical-maker mega-conglomerate called Ineos. Launched in 1998, the company has since reported an incredible turnover of a whopping 80 billion pounds! The University of Birmingham alumnus continues to own most of the shares in the company. A graduate of the chemical engineering program, he made a donation of 25 million pounds to his alma mater. He worked with Esso, the oil company, before he got an MBA from the London Business School. He then launched Inspec, the predecessor of Ineos. After, he founded Ineos under the parent company.
